Description by appraiser: (not guaranteed by the auctioneer) "Birchwood stained Mahogany Soda Shop Barback with four fluted columns and 3 mirrors on top piece and marble bar on base. 12' tall X 14' wide, structure sound, few missing pieces of moulding, mirrors in fair condition, finish in poor condition, marble stained. Circa 1905. Purchased by Mr Kershaw's father from a soda shop in the mid 20th century. Similar saloon barracks in better restored condition have sold for $45,000 to $50,000 and some in the 6 figure range".
