A nice California Custom, 1950 Chevrolet Sedan. A real, old school chopped hot rod built over 40 years ago in Southern California by an unknown hot rod builder.

A full custom built street rod with numerous modifications. Cranks, Runs and Drives straight and smooth down the road.

As stated, the car was built 40 years ago in California by an unknown builder. A nice, rust free body was used in the build. The front has been chopped 4" and the rear chopped 6". The rear window was laid down and a 1950 Oldsmobile donated the front windshield. All of the seams were welded, corners rounded and drip rails were shaved. Door handles were shaved as well and it features door poppers. The car has 59 Caddy tails that were frenched in, 53 Mercury headlight buckets and a 55 Desoto Grill. Keep in mind that the body work and paint were done 40 years ago. The entire body is still rust free but the paint has aged. Street rod builders spend thousands of dollars in their attempt to achieve this type Patina! The hazing and paint cracking look amazing and draw attention to the car.

In 2006, a new owner purchased the car and made many updates totally over $25,000! The body and drive train were removed. The underside of the car and frame were smoothed and repainted. Updates included a new Mustang II tubalar front end with 2" drop spindles, all coated parts, TCI power disc brakes, Walton Fabrication rear suspension with air bags, AIr Rid Technologies PRO RIDE SYSTEM with in glovebox mount controls, Stockton Wheels, Wide Whites. The frame was modified with tubular structure with built in transmission mount. At that same time, the engine (1956 Chevrolet Truck motor) was removed and rebuilt. It received twin Rochester Carbs with spiit heads. The car also recieved a new 700R Overdrive transmission with B&M electronic lockup control and a 4:11, 9" rear end. New fuel and oil pressure gauges were installed under the hood. A U.S. radiator was installed with Harley catch can. All of the A/C lines are now hidden inside the factory GM vent tubes! It also has a fat man's electic fan with thermostate. During this same update, the car received a new flaming river tilt column, Lokar Shifter and all of the guages were rebuilt.

The car is a one of a kind! The body is rust free with just a few dings and pings. The paint is naturally patina'd and looks amazing. It has Air Ride. The chop is perfect and a 6"4" man can ride comfortably. The car has A/C (you may need to recharge). It does not have power steering but it steers and drives great. It is a turn key street rod that is ready to show or go.

The car is located at the Pearce Auction Center in Alabaster, Alabama and is available for inspection during work hours, Monday through Friday.

Interior: Pleated white leather with piping both inside and in the trunk. It is missing one side panel in the trunk that covers the battery!
